  Well that was a let down. M&P used to be a niche coffee shop with interesting and varied foods, and most importantly, excellent and well made coffee. All that has changed it seems. A husband/wife team have taken over (almost a year ago now apparently) - he was super friendly and welcoming. She obviously had stuff on her mind. Hey, we all have those days. The coffee has changed - La Crema coffee out of Adelaide. It has a great reputation. But hasn't travelled well. It's renowned for a smooth woody aftertaste, but I was just left with a bitter residue. I actually couldn't finish it. Two sips was enough. There were a couple of wrapped sandwiches, but it was unclear if there was anything else on offer. The fit out is still as I remember, a bright, country feel that works well, but it doesn't seem like the new owners have made their own mark on the place. It's always been a tricky place to have a cafe. So to make it work, you have to have everything right. With so many good cafes in the area, it'll have to step up.
